DVS is looking for a Financial Analyst to join the corporate team in Vienna, VA with a hybrid work schedule (in the office Tuesday through Thursday; remote Monday and Friday).
Responsibilities
- Corporate Finance experience (exposed to all business units/more than one contract at a time) in IT Services Government Contracting
- Someone with monthly forecasting experience, actual to budget and forecast to budget analysis
- Firm understanding of the most commonly used contract types within IT Services GovCon
- Supports monthly close, ensuring all revenue and costs are accounted for per GAAP
- Understands indirect rates and has a firm understanding of how indirect rates are applied.
- Performs ad hoc program P&L analysis.
- Exposure to DCAA and GAAP
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Analytical and follow through skills.
- Knowledge in analyzing financial data as well as financial reporting and forecasting.
- Detail oriented, highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in Deltek Costpoint and Time and Expense Systems
- Experience in utilizing Cognos Reporting
- Strong oral and written communication skills along with the ability to work with a remote team.
