AI Project Manager

About the role:
Qover’s vision is to become an AI-led company, using technology to empower everyone in the organisation to orchestrate flawless embedded insurance programs across Europe. With a series of AI use cases being rolled out and an ambitious AI roadmap, we need an experienced AI Project Manager to lead our AI projects.
In this role, you will be part of our AI team within the COO organization, responsible for delivering new AI solutions across the company. Your work will range from implementing AI to improve our insurance programs to enabling internal teams to achieve their goals with powerful AI tools. You will also play a key role in shaping Qover’s AI roadmap, building our AI governance, and serving as an advisor for employees and partners.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
● Project Leadership: Lead AI projects or specific workstreams, prioritising based on business impact and technological feasibility.
● Resource Management: Identify and secure the necessary skills and resources, aligning with managers for capacity planning.
● Team Assembly: Create a collaborative team culture, setting clear expectations and directions.
● Solution design: Co-design the right tool with your stakeholders, ensuring the AI use case meets the needs of users.
● Accountability: Ensure timely delivery of all project components, holding team members accountable.
● Decision Making: Guide decisions on tool usage, whether building in-house or integrating external solutions.
● Vendor Management: Negotiate and secure contracts with vendors as needed.
● Business analysis: Perform the needed work when you are in charge of a specific workstream.
● Governance Adherence: Ensure projects comply with Qover AI governance and guidelines, consulting with the DPO and Chief Security Officer.
● Stakeholder Coordination: Manage and involve all relevant stakeholders, obtaining required approvals.
● Documentation: Document project creation, development, execution, scope, processes, budget, and justification.
● Testing and Release: Ensure proper testing and phased releases before production.
● Training and Handover: Train teams and transfer ownership for solution maintenance.
Beyond your own project work, you’ll also contribute to:
● Building the AI roadmap, with the Head of AI and the CPO.
● Enforcing AI governance and guidelines with the Chief Security Officer and DPO.
● Developing AI infrastructure and secure AI gateways with POs and Engineers.
● Contributing to the Qover AI Chapter and supporting other projects as needed.
Your Experience :
Required :
● 4+ years of experience, with a background in fast-growing tech companies with dynamic environments and shifting priorities.
● Fluent in English, with great written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong leadership and change management skills, with the ability to unite team members behind objectives.
● Experience working with Engineers and Product Owners/Managers, discussing software development considerations & applying agile methodologies.
● Proven track record of delivering complex digital solutions, from technical implementation to security and compliance validation.
● Passion for all things AI, and experience working with AI models & understanding how they work under the hood.
Appreciated :
● Experience in the financial services industry (insurance, banking, payments, etc.).
● Tech savy (e.g. know how to use REST APIs).
● Knowledge of key security and compliance concepts (e.g., GDPR, AI Act, Data Protection Impact Assessments).
