JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Assist in scaling our AI team and technology stack, guiding AI and other innovation-related projects from conception to implementation.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize AI and GenAI initiatives that deliver significant business value.
  • Assist in research, development, and deployment of applications utilizing advanced AI and GenAI techniques.
  • Stay abreast of the latest AI and GenAI trends and methodologies, acting as a key technical expert within the organization.
  • Oversee the delivery of AI and GenAI projects, ensuring quality, scalability, and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate AI and GenAI capabilities into new and existing products.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across healthcare and university to understand provider, patient, academic, or research needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering alignment and understanding. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree is preferred. 3+ years working in healthcare (preferred), Life Science (preferred), and/or Academic environments.
  • 5+ years with hands-on experience in developing and implementing language ML models and experience with modern LLM models and algorithms.
  • Proven experience in successfully developing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with the ability to create efficient and maintainable code for machine learning applications.
  • Strong understanding of cloud core services and concepts, including Azure (preferred), AWS, and/or GCP.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders in a multitude of formats (e.g., oral, written, visual, etc.).
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships and trust with technical team members, peers, and executives.
  • Any combination of education and experience may be considered.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee .
