AI Developer

At DN Media Group, we work to create products and solutions that allow our journalism to shine and give the reader the insight they need to make better decisions.

As a key member of our newly formed team, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of AI integration within our organization, influencing both technical implementations and strategic business decisions.

Our tech stack includes a diverse range of AI tools and services from vendors like OpenAI and various technologies like LangChain and other Python based methods. Additionally, we leverage both open-source and proprietary language models developed within modern NLP frameworks. Currently, our data team operates within the Azure cloud platform with infrastructure defined as code in Terraform. Data pipelines are managed through Apache Airflow, ensuring seamless integration within our Python-based data science workbench.

Your day-to-day tasks:

• Work with us to experiment, learn and develop new AI services.
• Collaborate closely with our other cross-functional teams in product & technology.
• Serve as the go-to full stack AI resource, contributing to the process from conception to implementation.
• Discuss and consider use cases in the AI lab and with colleagues from the entire DN Media Group.
• Collaborate with our data engineers, providing insights and guidance in AI development.
• Develop and implement services and products for internal and external users.

Your strategic role:

• Contribute to revisioning our AI strategy and find use cases that have business potential.
• Improve and develop framework and infrastructure for AI products.
• You will be reporting to the Head of Data & Insights and contributing to developing the AI competency in the team and the organization.

Your background:

• Knowledge of how to implement AI solutions and/or machine learning models. A genuine interest in following trends in the field of AI.
• Understanding of language models and NLP.
• Experience with and understanding of setting up services in a cloud-based environment.
• Practical experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency with Python.
• Higher education in a relevant field (preferably master level).
