AI/ML Engineer
We are a pioneering AI and robotics research team operating on the beautiful white, sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Our dynamic and cross-functional team is involved in diverse research projects related to the automation of civil engineering and airfield recovery processes. We’re now looking to expand our team with another skilled AI/ML Engineer with an emphasis on generating appropriately distributed training data and deploying AI models on constrained computing platforms, such as the Nvidia Jetson architecture.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop methods for producing synthetic training data to make models robust and generalize-able.
- Develop, train and optimize AI/ML models (including large generative models and LLM’s) for various civil engineering applications.
- Develop and implement efficient deployment strategies for these models on constrained computing platforms, especially Nvidia Jetson.
- Work closely with the cross-functional team to integrate these AI solutions into our robotics system.
- Conduct research and contribute to the development and enhancement of our machine learning systems and frameworks.
- Manage and monitor the performance of deployed models and adjust as necessary.
- B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience working with AI/ML systems.
- Proven experience with deploying AI/ML models on constrained platforms, such as the Nvidia Jetson architecture.
- Proficient in Python, and familiar with AI/ML libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and Scikit-learn.
- Experience with robotics systems is a strong plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinnings, such as neural networks, classification, regression, and clustering.
- Excellent knowledge of computer vision algorithms and techniques.
- Familiarity with CUDA programming for Nvidia GPUs.
- Excellent communication skills, and ability to work as part of a small, agile team.
