Data/AI Security Governance Specialist

What you’ll do:
As a Data/AI Security Governance Specialist, you are a highly motivated individual who is a self starter and thinks outside the box. You will be responsible for strategies and programs which aim to protect DocuSign data & information. You will also be responsible for understanding/reviewing data security threats and creating remediation plans through our internal tooling. This position includes managing and execution of Data Security programs such as improving posture around identity & access management, data classification/governance, and Secure AI in the enterprise. This role will require technical understanding of today’s cyber security threats and controls.
This role is an individual contributor role reporting to the Data Security Lead.
Responsibility:
- Support Data Security Governance enterprise wide programs such as access governance, data classification, and data discovery and mapping
- Identify data security threats and risks through collaborating with other Data Security team members, Threat Intelligence and creating and implementing remediation plans
- Discover and assess opportunities to implement data security tools and processes that help protect DocuSign data
- Define AI security requirements and controls and promote its adoption of in the product and corporate AI use cases
- Ensure fundamental data security principles are followed within core applications and systems
- Support data protection strategies for secure data sharing, transfer, and storage across the organization to satisfy data confidentiality, integrity, and availability objectives
- Research, discover, and implement new processes to support DocuSign’s data security and protection goals
- Advocate for Security GRC across the company
Job Designation:
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring:
Basic:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in Information Security
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience and relevant security certifications (CISSP, etc)
- Proven understanding of data security concepts, processes, controls and tools
- Excellence in communicating business risk from cybersecurity issues
- Strong familiarity with Cloud Security Controls (Azure, GCP, AWS) and how to apply security controls into practice
- Ability to review and interpret data and extract key insights
Preferred:
- Strong communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
- Strong documenting and reporting skills
- One or more of these certifications: CISM, CISA, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, AWS/Azure Security
- Experience and familiarity with new AI technologies and crafting secure usage and adoption of AI in the enterprise
- Experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions
- Knowledge of regulations and standards including PCI-DSS, OWASP, and NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks
- Proactive, proven self-starter, open to learning new security topics, flexible and organized
