About the Role:

ClosedLoop is seeking a seasoned Director of Healthcare AI Strategic Services with a strong background in data science and a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for fostering strategic relationships with our healthcare clients and driving the deployment of predictive models.

As a player-coach, you will leverage your expertise in data science, AI, and Generative AI to mentor, manage, and lead our team of data scientists, while also supporting our customers as they integrate cutting-edge technologies into their healthcare and population health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic consultation and education to clients on the transformative potential of AI and Generative AI within healthcare and population health contexts.
• Lead the development and deployment of predictive models on healthcare data using the ClosedLoop platform.
• Oversee the design and implementation of engineering work streams for Generative AI and Large Language Models.
• Collaborate closely with customer teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration of models into real-world healthcare decision-making processes.
• Lead the cleansing and validation of diverse healthcare datasets, including claims, medical records, labs, ADT, etc., using the ClosedLoop platform.
• Mentor and coach customer data scientists on best practices for AI, Generative AI, and data science in healthcare.
• Deliver compelling presentations to technical and non-technical audiences, showcasing model results and driving actionable insights.
• Provide valuable feedback to product management and engineering teams to enhance the ClosedLoop platform.
• Engage with internal product development teams to provide expertise on Generative AI.

What you’ll do:

• Build predictive models on healthcare data using the ClosedLoop platform.
• Work with customer teams to ensure that models are deployed and integrated into real world decisions.
• Clean and vet a wide variety of healthcare data (claims, medical records, labs, ADT, etc) using the ClosedLoop platform.
• Train and educate customer-facing data scientists on best practices for data science in healthcare.
• Create presentations and present model results to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Partner closely with the product management and engineering teams on how to improve the platform.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related Quantitative/Analytical disciplines.
• 7+ years of professional experience with Python and SQL.
• Extensive prior experience in healthcare data science.
• Proven track record in a customer-facing consulting role.
• Strong understanding of machine learning and statistical analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI Large Language Models and Prompt Engineering.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable insights for business stakeholders.
• Proficiency in untangling and presenting messy data in a meaningful and actionable manner.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and lead a combination of data scientists, data engineers, and AI consultants.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Specialization in advanced statistical methods or applications within the healthcare space (e.g., Pharma medical economics, actuarial experience, etc.).
• Masters or PhD in computer science or healthcare-related fields.
• Demonstrated commitment to mentorship and team development.
