Gen AI Data Scientist

We are looking for a Gen AI Data Scientist to join our Team at AES.

Based on your understanding of GenAI tools and business requirements, you’ll help develop centralized tools and services to evaluate and control GenAI model output quality across the enterprise. Given this is a rapidly evolving space, you will be required to stay up to date with the emerging trends in the industry and leverage your experience and expertise in building machine learning / deep learning solutions to fine-tune pre-trained GenAI models when needed.

Duties And Responsibilities:

Develop local and regional projects that involve data science.
Understand opportunities or problems and plan how they will be addressed.
Integrate data sources and suggest new ones to improve the analysis.
Apply statistical analysis to understand data (distribution, correlations, outliers, etc.).
Implement statistical models, machine learning or optimization, as well as manage their implementation with solution providers.
Generate pilots or test actions to check models and hypotheses.
Evaluate results and implement definitive solution.
Mapping and analyzing multiple data sets with emphasis on text-based data.
Develop LLM based AI models

The main internal contacts are: Regional/Global digital relationship leaders, as well as SmartOps and commercial business unit.

The main external contacts are: Service and outsourcing providers, IT manufacturers and startups; as well as innovation and digital transformation organizations.

Job challenge are: deep understanding in machine learning and Data, but also need the skills to effectively communicate with multiple business units.

The position participates in: integrating the organization towards a collaboration and innovation culture reflecting a business strategy leveraging the use of Data.

Qualifications And Experience:

Bachelor´s degree in Civil, Industrial, IT Systems, Statistics, Mathematics or related.
Postgraduate degree in Data Science or Statistics (Desirable)
Intermediate +/Upper intermediate level of English
2 years of experience in the delivery and management of data science and AI projects involving large & complex data sets and data science/machine learning pipeline.
Experience on Deep Learning, Q&A, Knowledge graph and text analysis; Knowledge in NLP and Deep learning algorithms and frameworks.
Experience with Large Language Models, LLM prompt engineering, vector databases, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and search engines.
Experience in models such as GPT/BERT/DeBerta/GLM/LLaMA, experience in federated Foundation model training is a plus. Diffusion models.
Strong in research paper scouting, understand GenAI research trends, able to implement research into code.
Experience in the development and application of solutions in energy sector market, hydrology, demand modeling, trading, etc. (Desired)
Exposure with Google AI and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
