Head of AI and Data Engineering
As leader of the AI and Data Engineering at our Research and Advanced Engineering sites in Iasi and Timisoara, you will manage a team responsible for the development of innovation projects with focus on artificial intelligence technologies and advanced data analytics for a broad range of applications. This includes technically leading and contributing to the development of sophisticated AI-enabled solutions to improve our research and development processes and operations.
We look for a highly motivated person with proven experience in Machine Learning and competence to lead a high skilled team of specialists in this field. A profound knowledge of machine learning, MLOps and a solid scientific background are of advantage.
As a Head of AI and Data Engineering, you will:
- Lead AI and Data Engineering team at our sites in Iasi and Timisoara;
- Act as ambassador on internal and external labor market;
- Acquire and develop talents;
- Support employees in their technical and professional development;
- Technically lead and contribute to the development of AI-enabled solutions to improve and automate research and development processes;
- Promote adoption of state-of-art machine learning technologies in fields like LLMs & NLP, Deep-Reinforcement-Learning, Optimization;
- Promote adoption of LLMs and NLP for knowledge-work activities in R&D like requirements engineering, code and test generation;
- Promote adoption of machine-learning and data driven methods for automotive functions development, functions parametrization and optimization;
- Consult innovation programs, project managers and product owners on related technologies;
- Understand and translate and application specific needs into technical requirements;
- Contribute to development of concepts, solution prototypes and demonstrators;
- Ensure hand-over from innovation to solution industrialization and series development.
Qualifications:
You would be a perfect match for our team if you have:
- Master or PhD Degree in (Business) Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computational Neuroscience or comparable qualification;
- Knowledge in machine learning, deep-learning, LLMs, NLP methods and related solution frameworks;
- Several years of professional experience in the above described area;
- Experience in other Artificial Intelligence technologies like natural language processing, knowledge representation, reasoning, semantic technologies are of advantage;
- Experience in leading technical teams in research and development area;
- Knowledge of agile development and modern software development methods;
- Excellent communication skills and capability to present technological concepts coherently to the business and innovation process;
- Team player with intercultural competencies;
- Customer and quality orientation;
- Business fluent in English language (written and spoken);
- Willingness to travel.
