Junior Data Operations Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Data Operations Engineer that will join our Data Strategy team, and help us to optimize, configure rules, and build processes for ESG data collection. This role provides an opportunity to develop your technical skills, work for a competitive SaaS company in the exciting ESG space, and support a wide array of stakeholders specialized in building products and curating ESG methodologies.

The role is based in Madrid, or Barcelona ideally.

Working as a Junior Data Operations Engineer you will be responsible of the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the technical and business rules by using python and system APIs to ensure ESG-based reports are gathered and identified
  • Maintaining keyword models that help streamline collection and optimize efficiencies
  • Creating datasets in Snowflake for use and visualizations
  • Helping organize daily collection operations based on data in the queue
  • Using API to upload ad-hoc reports for data collection
  • Supporting the enablement of new rules and configurations for different data types collected using our in house collection tools
  • Using orchestration tools and other tools at your disposal for helping automate processes or surface data necessary for data collection
  • Own technical documentation and best practices to ensure the processes are robust
  • Help the ESG Data Collection team to translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementation

Requirements:

As the ideal candidate for the position:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical operational role
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills. (Minimum C1 level-proficient user)
  • Highly motivated, independent and deeply passionate about sustainability and impact.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python and using APIs
  • Can work well with different stakeholders, including business stakeholders
  • Able to use some orchestration tools, such as Airflow
  • Able to create datasets for data visualization needs
  • Previous experience using a data warehouse like Snowflake would be a plus
