This position may be filled remotely, or in any of our locations.
The Legal AI Implementation Analyst is responsible for harnessing AI and modern software development practices to transform our legal processes. They will have a balanced blend of legal insight, hands-on coding, development capabilities, and project management prowess. Essential functions include:
Assessment and Analysis:
- Evaluate the firm’s existing processes to identify opportunities for AI and software development integration.
- Stay abreast of the latest AI and development tools, particularly as they pertain to the legal sector.
Technical Implementation:
- Collaborate with IT and legal teams to develop and customize AI applications, focusing on both back-end Azure AI solutions and front-end interfaces.
- Leverage Azure AI tools like Document Intelligence, Azure Cognitive Search, Azure Functions, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Event Grid, integrating these services with sleek, user-friendly interfaces using React, Node.js, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
- Ensure seamless system interoperability through API integration, connecting Azure services, legal databases, and external systems with front-end / AI driven applications.
- Oversee the complete development lifecycle for line of business applications (e.g., design, development, user acceptance testing)
- Build and implement AI-powered apps, with experience in platforms like Power Platform (PowerAutomate. PowerApps) Azure, and NetDocuments.
- Design and implement intuitive, responsive user interfaces for AI-powered legal applications, employing best practices in React, Node.js, and Bootstrap.
- Display proficiency in programming languages such as C# (.NET) and Python, specifically for developing solutions within the Azure ecosystem.
- Expertise in database design, development, and management using SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cosmos DB, including data modeling and optimization for high-performance applications.
- Knowledge of security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, encryption, and secure coding standards, to safeguard applications and data against vulnerabilities.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for creating, deploying, and managing containerized applications, enhancing scalability and deployment efficiency.
- Experience with real-time data handling and messaging systems like WebSocket, SignalR, or MQTT for building interactive, live-updating web applications.
Training and Support:
- Design and conduct training for legal staff to maximize the utility of new AI tools and custom applications.
- Offer hands-on technical support, addressing any challenges that arise with the applications.
Project Management:
- Chart out project roadmaps, including key milestones and deadlines.
- Maintain close communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external to IT, and escalate/remediate issues as needed as part of technical project management duties.
Continuous Improvement and Development:
- Monitor the operational efficacy of AI tools and custom software, making enhancements as needed.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, pushing the envelope with new programming methodologies and AI technologies.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or masterβs degree in law, Computer Science, Software Development, or a related preferred; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required. A dual background in legal and technical domains is a plus.
- Practical experience in implementing and developing software or AI tools, ideally within the legal sector.
- Hands-on programming experience, with emphasis on building applications and integrations that leverage AI.
- Proficiency in API writing, management, and integration.
- Solid grounding in Power Platform, NetDocuments, and other industry-relevant tools and platforms.
- Acumen in communicating intricate technical specifics to a diverse audience.
- Proven track record of collaboration with IT teams, legal professionals, and third-party vendors.
- A forward-looking, innovative, and problem-solving approach.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages relevant to Azure development, such as C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

Compensation And Benefits:
Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:
- State of California: $111,000 – $211,000
- State of Colorado: $102,000 – $182,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $120,000 – $218,000
- State of Massachusetts: $111,000 – $211,000
- State of New York: $103,000 – $223,000
- State of Washington: $107,000 – $204,000
The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
