Manager, AI Engineering

Introduction:
The AI Engineering Manager/Evangelist is responsible for leading a team of AI Engineers and QA Analysts, driving the development of AI-powered solutions, and promoting the use of AI within the organization. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for evangelizing the potential of AI technology.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build, Lead and manage a team of AI Engineers and QA Analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the development and deployment of AI models and solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time.
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging AI technology to solve business problems.
- Evangelize the use of AI across, educating employees about its potential, encouraging its adoption and contributing thought leadership to real business problems to effect positive change.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI and machine learning, and incorporate new techniques and technologies into the team’s work as appropriate.
- Ensure the ethical use of AI, adhering to best practices for fairness, transparency, and privacy.
- Collaborate with the IT AI Team to develop comprehensive test and implementation plans/strategies for AI and machine learning models and systems.
- Mentor and guide junior AI engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Knowledge And Experience:
- Proven experience as an AI Engineer or similar role, with experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of AI and machine learning algorithms and principles.
- Excellent programming skills, with experience in Python and AI-related libraries and frameworks.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Passion for AI and a desire to stay at the cutting edge of this rapidly evolving field.
- Startup mindset, with a track record of taking teams from ideation through implementation
- Experienced across the technology stack and a variety of tools and languages
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, advanced degree preferred. Or equivalent experience.
