NLP/LLM engineer

We are seeking an experienced NLP/LLM Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on analyzing trial protocols and specifications, extracting structured data and insights, and developing processes to drive our clinical trial systems.

Job Description:

The NLP/LLM Engineer will be responsible for analyzing clinical trial protocols and supporting documents, in order to extract and structure data, creating parameters that inform and drive our clinical trial system. This role requires expertise in machine learning, particularly in knowledge extraction, semantic graphs, and structured models, as well as strong Python programming skills. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of working independently to analyze extensive documentation and produce actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze clinical trial protocols and supporting requirement documents to extract structured data and insights.
  • Develop and implement LLM-based processes and agents to transform protocols and documents into parameters for clinical trial systems.
  • Utilize NLP and LLM techniques to automate the extraction and structuring of knowledge from unstructured text.
  • Design and build semantic graphs and structured models to represent clinical trial data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure extracted data meets the needs of the clinical trial system.
  • Continuously improve and optimize knowledge extraction processes and models.
  • Document processes, methodologies, and findings in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field. A Master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
  • over 3 years of experience in NLP, machine learning, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming, with a focus on machine learning and NLP.
  • Experience with knowledge extraction, semantic graphs, and structured models.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial protocols and the clinical research industry is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with NLP libraries and frameworks (e.g LangChain, LlamaIndex, SemanticKernel or similar technologies).
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
