Job Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Innovation Engineer to be the technical lead for our Digital Innovation team. The successful candidate will help LPL navigate emerging technologies by researching trends, developing prototypes, and sharing learnings with other technology teams.
Responsibilities:
- Work with business and technology stakeholders to identify and research new technologies that align with LPL’s architecture strategy.
- Write whitepapers and publish presentations that highlight the opportunities and challenges with these solutions.
- Using LPL technology standards, develop prototypes and conduct POCs to gain learnings.
- Contribute to the team’s Culture of Innovation activities including presenting at brown bags, writing tech news highlights, and helping to run our hackathons.
- Mentor junior developers.

Requirements:
- 4 years of experience in a developer role implementing code into production environments
- Extensive development experience with Angular, python and/or .Net
- 2 years of experience with AWS
- Familiarity with GenAI technology and approaches
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate complicated concepts to a diverse audience.
Core Competencies:
- Understanding of Innovation mindset – comfortable with ambiguity and discovery
- Experience in x-organizational roles working with senior stakeholders.
Preferences:
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock and Retrieval Augmented Generation
- 2 years of experience as a technical lead, leading teams in an agile environment
- UI/UX experience and demonstrative expertise in creating visually appealing user interfaces.
- Wealth Management domain knowledge
Pay Range:
$105,500.00 – $175,800.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
