Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role’s specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.

The Opportunity:

Provides technical expertise in the development and implementation of technology solutions focused on GenAI platforms, cloud services, and tools to assist all business units across the enterprise. Responsible for designing and implementing scalable cloud native solutions with Python. This is not a Data Engineering role. We develop and implement our own cloud infrastructure with infrastructure as code and maintain our own CI/CD pipelines. The right candidate also serves as a technical expert to junior level engineers. Partners with engineering teams to provide the business with the best possible solutions. Keeps up to date on technology trends, especially those that relate to GenAI. This is a mid-level to senior-level position that will report to the Director of AI and Advanced Analytics.

The Work Itself:

  • Implements cloud native AI solutions in partnership with the business units.
  • Engineers technology solutions supporting application environments.
  • Documents and publish standards for platform users.
  • Establishes patterns and new design standards for engineering teams.
  • Reviews metrics for quality control.
  • Provides technical expertise and advice to engineers across the enterprise
  • Creates and manages scripts for CI/CD pipeline and deployed infrastructure.
  • Champion a collaborative development approach which encourages contributions and emphasizes transparency

Skills:

The Skills You Bring:

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Python programming
  • 2+ years of experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Several years of AWS experience with a variety of services like Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS, IAM, Security Groups
  • Ability to design and build serverless and stateful systems on AWS that are scalable and highly available.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps, Process Architecture and Source Code tools.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Experience with microservice development patterns preferred.
  • Experience working with stakeholders and customers in a service delivery capacity preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information System, or other relevant field of study preferred.
  • AI/ML experience or certifications is preferred.
