As software engineer for perception for self-driving trucks, you will work on developing cutting-edge software that takes data from a multitude of sensors such as cameras, radars and lidars, and converts them into actionable information for downstream components like prediction and planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, evaluate, and maintain real-time scene understanding algorithms.
  • Evaluate system performance and find areas of improvement.
  • Build infrastructure and evaluation tools to support experimentation and deployment of new features.
  • Research state of the art techniques in robotics and self-driving technology.

Required Skills:

  • MS in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in modern C++ and Python.
  • Experience in processing sensor data (LiDAR, radar, camera, etc.) and using vision libraries like OpenCV and PCL.
  • Strong understanding of linear algebra and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of filtering and state estimation methods (KF, EKF, UKF, etc.).Knowledge of camera models and multi-view geometry.
  • Familiarity with localization and mapping for autonomous vehicles.

Preferred Skills:

  • PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with ML/DL.
  • Experience building data processing and evaluation tools.
  • Experience writing production level code.
  • Experience with CUDA programming.
