Software Engineer, AI

Squint is searching for a Software Engineer. In this role, you’ll help build the Squint platform by leading our Artificial Intelligence (AI) efforts. Because we’re a startup, you’ll also get to work across Augmented Reality (AR), mobile, web, and backend projects. You will be responsible for not only making decisions on the technology stack, but also influencing the product roadmap and product design. As a key early employee at Squint, you will help create and grow a world-class engineering culture.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute across all technical aspects of development at Squint.
• Create scalable architecture, review code, and perform all phases of the development life cycle.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and customers as stakeholders for your work.
• Understand customer use cases and actively apply this knowledge to engineering projects and product decisions.
• Help build a world-class engineering culture, including all of the stages involved in bringing a product from concept or idea through market release and beyond.
• Flexibly contribute to various tasks as needed – we’re a startup!

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer.
• Experience with one or more of the following areas (or related technologies): AI, AR, iOS, Android, Flutter, Python, Typescript, React.js, Next.js, Google Cloud Platform.
• Track record of creating scalable, performant, and well-documented software.
• High energy, clarity of communication, curiosity, and empathy.
• Team-oriented, collaborative mindset.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
