We are looking for Senior Manager who would lead multiple Scrum teams to build next generation Zuora products


  • Top priority is ensuring she/he is enabling delivery of high-quality working software by the end of each two-week sprint.
  • Manages multiple scrum teams effectively to deliver roadmap items.
  • Keeping team’s motivated, continuous learning, encouraging innovation, and working with HR partners to drive Zuora culture.
  • Foster and grow engineering talent, and ensure that team and individuals’ incentives are aligned with Zuora’s overall vision
  • Able to have difficult conversations, challenge engineering teams to do more and build high-performing teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams like product management, user experience (UX), Implementation teams, Product Marketing to solve roadblocks, conflicts and ambiguity.
  • Able to provide technical thought leadership, challenge design, adopt best engineering practices.
  • Perform detailed reviews of engineering meterices and implement plans to increase team’s velocity, reduce Product bugs & build better products.
  • Continuously improve team’s composition by hiring & retaining top talent at all levels & geographies.
  • Lead continuous improvement in CICD processes and adoption of agile best practices
  • Advocate for developing high quality software and promote best practices to produce reliable, maintainable and fault tolerant software.
  • Raise the bar on engineering practices by continuous evolution of coding practices
  • Manage engineering budgets, staff allocations, Infrastructure spend so that we stay within budget and get best ROI on engineering spend.
  • Work with contingent/contract workforce to make sure we are following consistent engineering practices across teams and bring accountability.


  • BTech/BE/BS/MS/PHD in Computer Engineering discipline or relevant degree.
  • 13+ years experience specializing in software engineering
  • MUST grew-up in a career through the SDE1-SDE3 hierarchy.
  • 6+ years of people management experience
  • Strong track records of building microservices, distributed software systems and worked on modern tech-stack like Java frameworks, Python, Relational & NoSQL databases
  • Able to understand AI/Machine-learning concepts so that he/she is able to implement certain features effectively in products.
  • Extensively worked on cloud-ecosystem like AWS, Azure & Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of domains like payment methods, payment gateways, payment wallets, Order to cash will be an added advantage.
  • Expertise in driving cultural changes in engineering teams are highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodology and hands on experience to run agile ceremonies will be very important.
  • Flexibility to travel and work across time-zone will be very important for this role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, JIRA, and other software development applications
