Staff – ML Software Engineer

SiMa.ai is looking for a Machine Learning Software Engineer to join our world class customer engineering team. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative software that enables highly optimized code to be generated for a wide range of machine learning models and use cases.

You will have the opportunity to work with software engineers and domain experts within the company to incorporate ML/AI technology into new and existing pipelines for end customer use cases.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze ML applications and deep learning models to better understand their performance on the SiMa MLSoC, and further optimize them for performance.
• Improve model accuracy by implementing state-of-the-art quantization techniques.
• Work closely with the ML Compiler team to identify ways to improve performance of existing techniques to support ML models
• Guide and support customers through their ML design cycle from concept to production

Required Background:

• M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science or another related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Neural network optimization including QAT or PTQ and model architecture optimization.
• 3+ years’ experience in machine learning and training deep neural networks, including a strong background in several applications of deep learning such as object recognition, object detection, semantic segmentation, etc.
• 3+ years’ experience in algorithmic implementation using a high-level, modern programming language such as C++ or Python. Including a strong background in software development with a demonstrated ability to write efficient, readable, and well-commented code and strong software design and architecture skills with an eye towards avoiding and reducing technical debt.
• 1+ year experience in hardware architectures, specifically ML accelerators, ML SoCs or similar.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and ONNX.
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in the fundamentals, practical application, and best practices of AI.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $140000 to $181000. The actual annual salary paid for this position will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skills, prior experiences, qualifications, expertise, work location, total target compensation, training, company needs, and current market demands. The annual salary range for this position is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.
