What We Do:

As the Director of AI Governance and Information Security, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing a comprehensive governance framework for Artificial Intelligence and Automation, as well as redesigning and rolling out an AI specific Risk and Control Framework for Information Security within our organization. Reporting into the Vice President of Governance and Risk Compliance, you will work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and other key stakeholders to ensure that our AI and information security initiatives align with our business objectives, adhere to regulatory requirements, and prioritize risk management and compliance.

What You’ll Do:

  • AI Governance Strategy: Develop and implement a robust AI governance strategy that encompasses data privacy, security, compliance, and ethical considerations.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with AI and information security.
  • Policy Development: Create and maintain policies, standards, and procedures related to AI governance and information security, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Management: Stay up-to-date with relevant AI and information security regulations, ensuring our organization remains compliant and proactively addressing any compliance issues.
  • Ethical AI: Promote the responsible and ethical use of AI, ensuring that our AI systems are transparent, fair, and accountable.
  • Risk and Control Framework: Redesign and roll out a comprehensive Risk and Control Framework for Information Security, incorporating industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Security Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the information security team, ensuring the effective implementation of security controls and incident response procedures.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure a holistic approach to AI governance and information security.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on AI governance, information security best practices, and compliance requirements.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing AI governance frameworks and Risk and Control Frameworks for Information Security.
  • Strong knowledge of AI and information security technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Familiarity with relevant AI and information security regulations and standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification in AI governance, information security, or a related field.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, such as finance, healthcare, or government.

Pay Range: $151,575 – $252,625 Annually

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
