AI Governance Expert

As an AI Governance Expert in #TeamRWE, you will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of the management system of the Group policy on Artificial Intelligence as well as legal frameworks in RWE’s core markets. You will develop guidelines, policies and processes in Group-wide projects and ensure the application of the legal and ethical framework through your advice in AI projects. In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Data Protection & AI Governance Officer.

  • Establishing and further developing a Group-wide management system for artificial intelligence in the context of the Group AI policy and the regulatory framework
  • Further development of the Group Policy for Artificial Intelligence and, if necessary, other Group-wide processes and standards in this area
  • Designing and implementing training and awareness measures in the area of artificial intelligence in collaboration with other areas of the Group, in particular HR and Transformation
  • Conducting risk assessments for AI systems and models and deriving measures for risk treatment in collaboration with the business owners and other stakeholders within and outside the Group
  • Monitoring and reporting on the regulatory development of the regulation of artificial intelligence in RWE’s core markets, in particular the EU, UK and the US; interacting with authorities and regulatory bodies in this area where necessary

Your Powerful Skills:

  • University degree in IT, engineering or law with a technical focus or comparable qualification / further training
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of technical regulation or data regulation, e.g. data protection or product liability
  • Extensive and proven experience in setting up and developing management systems in a corporate environment
  • Proven experience in managing legal implementation projects in a corporate environment
  • Very good communication skills with all stakeholders in an international group, in particular with employee representatives and management levels
  • Experience in communication and cooperation with regulatory bodies and supervisory authorities
  • Strong customer orientation and interdisciplinary skills, pragmatic and efficient in the implementation of tasks
  • You speak and write German and English fluently and you have the ability to work with globally networked teams and take them along in change processes

Advantageous, but not a must:

  • Skills in another European foreign language
