AI Research Summer
Want to revolutionize Healthcare domain? We are looking for a highly motivated individual, passionate about deep learning and AI to join the GE Healthcare Data Science team. As the Summer/Fall Co-op, you will focus on developing impactful and innovative deep learning-based products for the Healthcare industry partnering with Staff and Senior Data scientists.
Essential Responsibilities:
You will be expected to be involved in development of deep learning technologies for Health Care applications such as segmentation, anomaly detection, image processing, natural language understanding, time series analysis, etc.
- You’ll work to design, code, train, test, deploy and iterate on large scale Deep Learning systems
- Work with heterogenous medical data sets including sample size selection, preprocessing and design of experiments.
- Design and implement neural networks to provide automation of clinical tasks using one or more of medical images, electronic medical records, waveforms, and clinical reports.
- Demonstrate algorithms meet accuracy requirements on general subject population through statistical analyses and error estimation
- Gather and analyze data, devise innovative data science solutions and build prototypes to enable development of high-performance algorithms in scalable, product-ready code.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- In-progress PhD (3rd, 4th or 5th year preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of Healthcare domain is plus (not required)
- Experience with deep learning models such as CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformers, and GANs.
- Implementation experience with a variety of high-level languages and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in one area of computer science (e.g., Natural Language Understanding, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization), with publications track record in NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, KDD, CVPR, ECCV, etc.
- Experience building ML / AI systems
For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $50/hour for Undergraduates, $52/hour for Master Students and $60/hour for PhD Students
It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
