Job Description:

CDM Smith is seeking a Gen AI Platform Architect to join our Business Technology team. At CDM Smith, we see the value of what AI can bring to our company and we are actively adopting and implementing co-pilots and Gen AI technologies to boost productivity across our business. As our Gen AI Platform Architect, you will be at the forefront of defining AI solutions and collaborating with our delivery teams to implement innovative Gen AI and co-pilot solutions that seamlessly integrate into the fabric of our business.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record designing and implementing successful AI/ML solutions, is a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, is curious, and has exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and design the architecture for various Gen AI and co-pilot solutions, ensuring each solution is scalable, secure, and reliable using Microsoft and OpenAI technologies.
  • Engage with our business partners to understand their requirements and translate them into technical requirements and designs.
  • Craft and implement strategies to fine-tune the AI models for performance and accuracy.
  • Oversee the collection, processing, and management of data used for training and deploying AI models.
  • Design and implement strategies to scale the existing Gen AI solution across different business groups.
  • Create detailed architecture and technical design docs for our AI solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of AI solutions with existing business systems and workflows.
  • Develop prototypes and proof of concept solutions to demonstrate AI capabilities.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members and foster a culture of learning and development.
  • Influence and contribute to Business Technology’s overall AI vision and AI roadmap.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 8 years of related experience.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Skills And Abilities:

  • Proficiency in using and implementing OpenAI models such as GPT-3.5, GPT-4, and GPT-4 Turbo.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Cognitive search, Blob storage, and Azure functions.
  • Knowledge and expertise in integrating and leveraging Microsoft co-pilot for enhancing AI driven workflows and productivity tools.
  • Advanced in writing python code and ability to conduct code reviews and suggest coding best practices.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies to oversee AI projects from conception to deployment.
  • Ability to design and manage data pipelines ensuring high-quality data is available for AI model training and deployment.
  • In-depth understanding of large language models, their capabilities, and how to integrate with them.
  • Expertise in NLP techniques and applications for creating AI solutions that understand and generate human language.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment of AI models to ensure smooth and automated workflows.
  • Skilled in optimizing AI models for performance, accuracy, and efficiency to meet business requirements and operate effectively in production environments.
  • Demonstrates a fundamental understanding of Microsoft Fabric and how it works.
  • Understands the principles of the Azure well architected framework and can apply those principles to an AI solution.
  • Advanced ability to understand the function and capabilities of new technology trends. Curious. Stays abreast of current and upcoming technologies and tools.
  • Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility within IT and across various business units.
  • Experience working with and directing offshore teams.
