We’re seeking a top Research Intern to join our team focusing on perception situational autonomy insight at Plus! At Plus, we’re pushing the boundaries of autonomous driving to achieve reliable autonomy at scale in all weather conditions. We’re tackling exciting challenges in long-range perception to enhance system performance, ensuring safety-critical standards are met, and enabling seamless operations in any driving environment.
You’ll collaborate with a diverse team of researchers and engineers on core topics in computer vision, deep learning, autonomy and validation of safety-critical AI systems. You’ll design and implement cutting-edge computer vision and deep learning techniques, validate your approach on public and in-house benchmarks, and eventually publish your work in top conferences and journals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct groundbreaking research with the potential to strongly impact Plus’s autonomous driving products, leading to publishable results.
- Develop and benchmark cutting-edge techniques in deep learning.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize and seamlessly integrate developed techniques into the production perception/AV stack.
Required Skills:
- Possess research experience in computer vision, machine learning, perception, and/or deep neural networks for perception and autonomy.
- Demonstrated excellence in research, with publications in respected conferences like CVPR, NeurIPS, ICML, and ICRA.
- Currently pursuing a PhD in robotics, AI, or related fields.
- Proficient in machine learning tools and frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Strong communication, teamwork skills, and a passion for solving complex engineering problems.
Salary Range:
- $19 – $65 an hour
Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
