Senior Consultant
Our M&A and Transactions Advisory delivery model includes the entire transaction life-cycle enabling engagement opportunities throughout the lifetime of a deal. It includes originating and providing corporate finance advice as a lead financial advisor on M&A transactions, providing valuations services on a range of transactional matters, due diligence advice to help our clients identify risks associated with deals and offer solutions that can help to mitigate such risks, SPA advisory to make sure client’s financial interests are safeguarded in the agreement, act as an independent financial adviser on IPOs as well as on a range of other corporate transactions including, financial modelling, fundraising and debt advisory/restructuring.
The role:
- Plan, organize and draft valuations reports, information memoranda as well as build and review, financial models as well working on financial due diligence assignments where support is required.
- Prepare complex financial models as per the industry best practices for large diverse corporations. Experience of working on financial models involving infrastructure projects would be a plus but not a pre-requisite.
- Supervise, train and mentor associates and interns on assignments.
- Have knowledge and hands-on practical experience of business valuations for tangible and intangible assets. Experience of purchase price allocations and valuing complex financial instruments would be a plus but not a pre-requisite.
- Work closely with partners, directors and team members on client management, practice development and business development initiatives.
- Assist with research, marketing and execution of corporate finance engagements.
- Conduct market studies and help prepare marketing collateral for M&A, debt and equity fundraising processes.
Competencies:
- Enthusiasm to further develop and learn corporate finance principles, techniques and methodologies covering valuations, financial due diligence, business modelling, M&A, debt advisory etc.
- Strong business intelligence and foundation knowledge of latest industry trends.
- Should be proactive with staff and clients and be able to work under pressure to meet client expectations and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation capability.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English (Arabic will be a plus but not a pre-requisite).
- Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft office applications including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, numeracy and problem solving skills.
- Identify and discuss issues with the team leader on a timely basis.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience within Valuations in a consulting firm or other related fields
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a reputable university
- Professional qualification preferred (e.g. CA / ACCA / CMA / CPA / CFA / CBV / ASA)
