Head of AI Operations
The Head of AI Operations is a key role for the GSMA as we enter a Digital First era. In order to support an innovative, growth organisation, this role, along with the wider IT Team, must focus on introducing new capabilities to the organisation, including the adoption of AI. AI will impact everyone and everything at the GSMA, and to truly adopt, we need to be prepared to do things differently and embrace disruption.”
About The Team:
As a new role within the GSMA, the Head of AI Operations will be tasked with growing the function over the mid-term. Reporting into the Director of IT, AI Operations will collaborate with the other pillars of the department to execute a new digital strategy that aims to transform the organisation through data utilisation, best-in-class toolset adoption, AI implementation and process automation.
About The Role:
- You will develop an AI strategy aligned with business goals, and lead a cross-functional collaborative team to implement prioritised AI innovations across the organisation
- You’ll ensure ethical AI adoption in compliance with legal and industry standards, as well as delivering with Privacy by Design and ISO 27001 at the forefront of mind
- You’ll look to integrate new products and features within existing systems and processes to create end-to-end user experiences, whilst not being afraid to disrupt in order to advance the organisation
- You will manage an AI incubator programme within the organisation, enabling staff to be curious and apply AI to their daily work, but within a controlled environment
- You will create visibility of the team’s work and promote the merits of inclusive and responsible technology adoption.
- You’ll stay up-to-date with the latest AI trends and where needed, pivot your roadmap to incorporate them.
About You:
- You have technical knowledge of the latest developments in Generative AI and Large Language Models
- You have demonstrable experience of delivering AI projects showcasing innovation and business impact
- You have experience of enterprise data architecture and data integration best practices
- You have a background in working with Cloud and SaaS technologies (AWS, Azure, M365, Salesforce)
- You bring excellent communication and storytelling skills, and are able to make complex technical concepts easily understood
- You show up with curiosity, and have a track record of creative problem solving to get things done at pace
- You have the confidence to challenge existing processes and deliver alternative solutions
- You like to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field and identify opportunities for innovation
- You bring people together to achieve great things, and have demonstrable experience of doing so.
